Bodega Bay is located on the Pacific Coast just 69 miles North of San Francisco. The most prominent geological feature of Bodega Bay is Bodega Head, a peninsula that protects the bay from the ocean. The San Andreas fault runs right through it, separating steep rocky bluffs from sandy dunes. The Head provides a dramatic vista and the ideal place to watch whales migrate south twice yearly in January to February and April to May. Bodega Bay is perfect for fishing, golfing, horse back riding, surfing, and much more.

Russian River Fishing

RV Camping & Outdoors

The Russian River is a year-round fishery. Summertime is the best time to fish for Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass, Catfish and Bluegill. Small Steelhead begin their run in September, with the larger Steelhead making their way in November up to the end of April. The best Shad fishing starts in April and continues thru June. Catfish are good fishing at this time as well. The Russian River can be fished from the shore, wading in, or by boat. Motorized boats are allowed but most fisherman use a canoe or a kayak.
